Gap's View Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

The Flanagan Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir has a color of light ruby with a nose of cranberry sauce, smoke, and potpourri. Maybe cherry cola too. Good balance of fruit and earthiness on the palate. Decent finish. — 2 months ago

Riley's Rows Chardonnay 2016

Nose has light wood smoke, dried pineapple, crushed sandstone and light squeeze of tangerine.

Palate has dried pineapple, dried lemon zest and a light touch on the new oak treatment.

With a slight chill to the wine, it's mildly reminiscent of a Meursault, quite an intriguing bottle.

Bennett Valley Syrah 2015

Medium purple with an explosive nose of black currant, black berries, raisins, roasted meats, green peppercorn, and tar/motor oil. Dry, but brings fruit across the palate. This medium bodied wine has well-integrated tannins and strikes me as being more similar to an old world style syrah from Rhone though produced in Sonoma county. Finish lingers nicely. — 7 months ago
