Opened the 1999 for Christmas dinner in Norway, truly delicious, beautiful fruit. Tannin and length after 17 years — 8 years ago
Aged 10 years brought back from Norway in 2014. Deliciously deep full bodied. A little jammy. — 3 years ago
Maaemo, Oslo, Norway This wine was a wonderful pairing for all the meal courses. It's been over a year but I remember I loved the light, not-too-sweet tones. Simply lovely. — 7 years ago
The white wine served with the Hotel Marques de Riscal restaurants' (Michelin 1 star) "10th Anniversary Menu" during the following courses: "Vine shoots", "Black olives", "This land contained in a morsel", "Our croquettes", "Norway lobster carpaccio on a tartar of tomato, white garlic and red wine caviar", "Fresh grass or eating a high mountain meadow" and "Mediterranean. Cucumber, yoghurt, apple and fresh almond". Nice acidity on the wine which greatly complimented the food. See my other entry for the red wine and the courses it was served with. — 8 years ago
This was an excellent pairing with our lamb and beef while visiting Norway. — 7 years ago
2014 Amarone della Valpolicella. This was great with lamb after a sunny ski day in southern Norway. — 7 years ago
First time knowingly trying a Carignan red. Fruit punch all the way! 👊🏾 Pleasant, bright, young South African natural with strong cranberry + raspberry noted and vibes. Excellent value. Sad to see this one is no longer being imported to Norway! — 8 years ago
Cheers from Bergen, Norway! An absolute picturesque spot for our vacation. Tonight, we visited Altona, a 400-yr old spot that has received 9 straight Wine Spectator awards for their phenomenal wine list.
I was shocked to see such a prestigious US wine on this wine list, and had to order a glass from this textbook vintage. Red currants on the nose and cigar box. Deep purple and long legs. On the palate, beautifully structured plum and cassis. This wine is GORGEOUS right now and has at least 10+ years before really peaking. — 8 years ago
Rano Bhasin
Is a very light but bold. Hint of very very sweet taste. Has a lovely bouquet. Over all very good. it has a crisp around the edge with a dry aftertaste. Although we are in Norway, we can see Tuscany drinking this. This wine comes from a family fifth generation related to Mona Lisa — a year ago
