Beautiful dark golden hue with scarce bubbles. The nose is super alluring initially and grows more with time and air. Semi sweet bread hits first betraying the zero dosage. Red apples and fresh cherries, unmistakably Pinot Noir. Oyster shells and moist earth. Citrus and tropical fruits emerge over time, simply wowing you.
A collaboration between Benoit Doussot and Bertrand Gautherot of Vouette et Sorbée. A young project with young, but super high quality fruit. 100% Pinot Noir from Aube in the Côte des Bar, all organic grapes. I may say this too often but this is really a sexy champagne. Searing acidity and plenty of depth for days. 16 months on lees and disgorged in July of 2019. Still has plenty of room to age and mature.
Incredible precision and salinity here. Full of life and energy. Impeccable fruit on the palate with the yeast being a bit more subdued but the summer berries announcing their presence. A bit of herbs and minerals. Long, dry finish. Pure sex. — 3 years ago

Another great Weekly Wine Committee in the books, this time hosted by Dan. Format stayed the same (1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine) and everything is guessed blind.
100% loved this. Very crisp and yeasty, but a lot of fruit was there, mainly grapefruit. I guessed French champagne correctly, but assumed NV as it was so fruit forward. — 7 years ago
Miss-identified. This is rose. And truly strawberries and cream. Mouthwatering acidity made it hard to stop drinking. Beautiful bottle shape, too. — a year ago
