Sweet Wee Scallywag Small Batch Release Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

I found in my local shop (last time I tasted this was in Ginza). This is a lively blend - has the nose of a Macallan single malt and smooth mouth feel of a blend. I could sip this all night. — 7 years ago

Clan Denny Single Malt Scotch Whisky 2009

Clan Denny

2009

Poached pear and candied ginger, cinnamon and cedar, pine, burnt, and smoldering. Apples, orange zest, dried apricot, candied pineapple nose.
Orange oil, cinnamon, caramel, lemongrass, lemon oil and grapefruit conspire on a racy finish that lingers with perfume.
Small production: 1/422 bottles

Rock Oyster Small Batch Release Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Doug Burress
9.8

One of my favorites so far in this early 2017. I grew up thinking Single Malts are king and blends are for my Grandpa. DL has knocked it out of the park with these blended releases, and the Rock Oyster is a tremendously wonderful representation of Islay. Subtle smoke, low heat, spice, salty air, fresh herbs, and lingering finish. — 8 years ago
