Wow! Based on my prior notes it’s been 3 years since I’ve last circled back on this. I’m pleased to say the 94/100 still rings true, as this Speyside blended malt scotch whiskey is really delicious with plenty of complexity and overall balance to keep the palate entertained and the mind thoughtful. Orange peel, chocolate shavings, crystallized honey, bees wax, sweet spices and stewed berries.

I found in my local shop (last time I tasted this was in Ginza). This is a lively blend - has the nose of a Macallan single malt and smooth mouth feel of a blend. I could sip this all night.

Smooth and balanced. Leather, wax, cereal with a lovely sweetness. Great stuff.

Macallan dominant Speyside blend with a wee bit of Glenrothes (and the sherry butt sourness).
