This is an exemplary #Riesling from the #pfalz area. These young guys are making great wines. Pale lemon color pronounced aromas of green apple, citrus like limes and lime zest, and intense pineapple aromas. There are clear tertiary aromas of kerosene and a smokiness (most likely due to the screwcap closer). I know it's not usual, but I would swear this wine has had oak contact, (coconut) and malolactic fermentation (butter). It's refreshing and well balanced between the acidity, sweetness and fruit intensity. The finish is long with a lingering burnt matchstick flavor. — 8 years ago
