@Delectable Wine there is no Merlot in this.

First of our South African line-up prepping for our trip in December. Purplish ruby red. Dark nose with purple flowers, some cocoa and black cherries. Heavy tannins (7/10) and quite a bit of acidity. Rich and very dark attack on the palate with black cherries, plums, jamminess, earthiness and spices. Full bodied with a spices and slightly bitter long finish. Drink till 2028.

Made up of 60% Malbec, 30% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Only 550 bottles made.

Love the SA wines. You really can't go wrong. Make Waterford and Delheim two vineyards to visit while in Stellenbosch. .

Greg, if your going to South Africa wine country, I was surprised to discover most wineries closed on Sunday. This was 3 years ago. Hugh

2004 vintage left a bit too long the cork was a bit soft but the wine was incredible, very smooth soft tannins and kept characteristic despite its age 😬 — 7 years ago

Great QPR in South Africa it goes for 8 bucks. Fun fact 20% of the potential yield is lost to baboons every season! — 9 years ago
