This is so full of life. Look at the presentation in the glass. Great nose of mulberries and saddle leather. Mid palate is juicy, powerful and still quite tannic. Some tertiary notes of sage are evident, but still a wonderful experience.

I will get this right eventually. The Club incorrectly recorded this. It is in fact a Cabernet Shiraz entirely from the Eden Valley.

My understanding is that this is a new wine from a partnership between Jim Schwartz and Heidi Barrett celebrating women in wine. It’s great and the QPR is outstanding. Go grab some before the price gets nutty.
2-3 hour decant in bottle. Medium body, cherry, light currant, a hint of chocolate, grippy/grainy tannins poke out a little past balanced (but I liked this), and clean finish. Great stuff! — 4 years ago

@Deborah M right? I got at Total Wine, $34.99 - 15% case price special. They don’t have anymore in MN. I’m trying to get more shipped in. I called the winery, Coup de Foudre, and they had for $39.99. I’d say still great QPR. They don’t have a club model either so you don’t have to sign up. Just order when u want. I like that. And what a cool label / message! Hope you enjoy!

Wine was suggested by the magician himself @Ira Schwartz . We decanted the wine and it was needed. The wine developed well over the course of about 90 mins. At first it was a smooth mineral forward wine but developed some complex fruit flavors such a pear. It paired well with both the short rib lasagna and the sea bass my wife and I had that night. — 5 years ago
