This wine is so smooth and just the right sweetness for a Merlot. — 6 years ago
Here's a snapshot of the 2012 1er Cru & Grand Cru wines I tasted: Reds: Les Lavieres- Stoney notes w/ light body; Clos de la Mousse, more body & definition w/ heady violet & orange blossom; Caillerets Ancienne Cuvee Carnot, deeper concentration, red stewed fruit; Le Corton, still needs time to show weight, but already expressing interesting ashy smoke note; Whites: Clos St. Landry, earthy, cooked peaches; Corton Charlemagne, strong minerality, lean palate; Chevalier-Montrachet, exotic spice with mango notes — 9 years ago
16 years old but still fresh and zesty—crab apple, stone and a hint of honey. Unmistakable white burgundy characteristics that only improved as the night went on. Enjoyed the 2008 vintage with an exquisite Kaiseki dinner at Hayato in LA. Happy Birthday to me! — 2 months ago

Just terrific! A tad monolithic on night one. Night two (with a thirty minute light chill) is a red berry fruit delight. I’m simply charmed by this bottling. — 8 months ago

Vintage 2021 | Enjoyed over two days, first day with tenderloin Cantonese style with mango, second day with caserecce with oyster mushrooms, garlic, pepper and creamsauce. I served the wine from the fridge, flint minerals in smell, raspberry minerals in taste. Lovely Cabernet Franc. — a month ago
