No vintage (2016) - made from #cheninblanc it is a white Chinon! I was not aware this exists. My brother in law made a stop at the winery during an oldtimer ride and brought this as a present. It's quite good: beautiful expression of pears in the smell, lots and lots of minerals (terroir agrilo calcairre) and lively acidity. It has a medium strong consistency with power. Great balance, a treat to drink this before dinner. #chinon #cheninigans #loirewine — 7 years ago

Not a fan of most Chinons Blanc, as they often start life lean and mean, then go absolutely nowhere. This, however, is that rare exception: already tender and alluring, showing acacia, melon, honeysuckle and wet gravel, with an unctuous texture and a fair dash of residual sugar (albeit perfectly balanced by massive acids). Fabulous. — 4 years ago
