Château de Lescours

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of dark cherries and plums with a hint of barnyard funk. More plum on the palate with additional notes of balsamic vinegar and a light touch of vanilla on the long and luxurious finish. Full bodied and quite rich. Velvety texture and tannins. So easy to drink. — 7 months ago

St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1955

Stunning! Shared at luncheon hosted by Château de Lescours on 4/9/16. Beautifully harmonious, balanced, fully mature but not over the hill. Rich mouth-feel, almost chewy (in a good way). — 8 years ago

Very drinkable, nothing spectacular. Not oaky, not fruit forward. — 3 years ago

Château Chevalier Lescours

Premium Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Beautiful.
Aroma is pungent. Smoothed tannins after an hour of being open. Everything a Saint-Emilion should be. Will be even better in a couple more years.

Château de Lescours

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Primarily Merlot (includes 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) Red Bordeaux Blend. Much better than the 2015 Vintage. Ripe black fruit and plum aromas and flavors. Hints of balsamic vinegar with just a touch of barnyard funk. Full bodied, rich and complex. The tannins, however, are incredibly soft. Great QPR for a Grand Cru Bordeaux Blend. Revisited in October 2022. Improving with age. — 3 years ago
