This is Crozes Hermitage. this is in 400 liter barrels. insane nose, so refined and complex, very very deep, very mineral and rocky, superb complexity and purity, what a nose, so much going on in the nose, woody and juicy and so complex and noble structure and more oaky and longer and wonderful balance. huge black fruits but barely black and wonderful purity. such amazing fruit quality. Great freshness.

2014 vintage. Not impressed on first taste but changed considerably after about 30 mins. Pruny dark fruit, licorice, pencil, and cassis on both nose and palate with a bit of red fruit in there as well. Medium tanins and acidity. A little hot. Didn't quite stand up to a grilled steak but very pleasant on its own. — 7 years ago

Day 2... smoky bacon bits,, tobacco, cracked pepper, plum and blackberry. Big and bold. Classic. Dry, tannic (especially for Syrah), with rich blue and blackberry fruit. Striking fruit leads to savory finish. Paired very well with elk chili. Showed well after a 2 hour decant yesterday. Drink with decant or hold. — 5 years ago

Fresh, vibrant, full of energy.
Smokey, rocky, with lemon zest, ripe Granny Smith Apple, candied ginger, a bit of brioche, a rocky, salty note.
On the palate this is fresh with electric, zippy acidity and a nice, rounded mouthfeel with white fleshed fruit.
Great precision here, depth, minerality, and very fine bubbles.
Delicious stuff!
