Celebrating this beautiful Saturday evening in TX with a 2011 #growerbubbles #brutnature . We preceded this bottle with an NV Moët White Star so it was really interesting to taste the contrast. Soft citrus and apple aroma - notable for the lack of yeasty notes. Compared to the Moët house style blend, this was razor sharp in its precision in the palate: pear, apple, touch of lemon held up by softer effervescence and loads of crushed minerals and generous lift from acidity. Delicious crisp bubbles on a historic day. #fatcork — 18 days ago
Wow. Aged very gracefully. Blackberry, currant, soft tannins. Decanted for 45 minutes prior to drinking. — 3 days ago
My first CdP. Only had a glass—would have liked to see how this developed throughout the evening. — 17 days ago
Always love the earthy, woodsy, crushed berries, stems and all, bouquets. Always reminds me of being outside in a forest, cool air drifting through trees, the hope of a hidden stream through an unnamed bend in the path.
Deep and dark, rich and jammy. This is a rare treat like truffle pizza or watching a marathon of your favorite movie series (Rush Hour, Die Hard, Fast & The Furious, The Godfather, take your pick).
Cornucopia of fruits, but I really love the noir licorice and plum notes right at the end. Harmonize with spice and acidity and you’ve got a winner. Class and drinkability. — 8 days ago
Best thing we’ve had in ages — 5 days ago
Clean minerally nose; red small berries, ceder wood, peppers, coffee notes in an elegant package. — 6 days ago
Musty leaves and twigs with hints of of raspberries and black cherries on the nose, slightly stewed with the bottle age, and medium cherry on the palate, initially candied with a thin finish, but after about 45 of glass decanting it opened with a much smoother lasting dark cherry med + finish. Tannins completely integrated.. honestly Pretty amazing for a sonoma county 22 year old Zin!!!! — 16 days ago
Dry and bold with a lingering finish. Oak, tart cherries, and a hint of something that reminds me of really good olive brine. — 24 days ago
