Castello delle Regine

Poggio delle Regine Umbria IGT Sangiovese Blend

Fast og balansert. Lite sødme. Kunne vært litt mer fyldig, men den er god. — a day ago

Castello di Monsanto

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Vintage 2014 / half transparant with a brown rim, frivolous smell with a hint of raspberries, good concentration and lively acidity. Paired with a dish from courgette and tomatoes from the oven. — 7 days ago

Poggio Bonelli

Poggiassai Sangiovese Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Molto buono, e Mi ho sentito il profumo buono. Siamo divertito con proscuto e spec da Eataly. Era perfetto per l’apertivo. Ho dimenticato il preso, ma meno venti, questo e rubare forse. Mi piace molto. — 2 months ago

Poggio Anima

Gabriel Terre Di Chieti Pecorino 2014

This wine was a hit at a dinner party. Very fruity nose (apricot, mango), fairly dry, not very acidic, and a beautiful bright yellow. Was not familiar with the varietal before this, but would buy again. — 18 days ago

Val di Suga (Angelini)

Poggio Al Granchio Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2013

This one is a bit more generous with fruit and shows a slightly broader mid palate than the more northern cru. Still very nervy and tight with screeching acidity. Love the intensity, but wouldn’t dare open this for another 5 years. — 5 days ago

Castello di Ama

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 1980

This was before the 1982 sale of Castello. Little info, but this is pre-replanting of mid-80s, very pastoral expression. Eye opening Tuscan gem. — 7 days ago

Marchesi Antinori

Castello della Sala Cervaro della Sala Umbria Chardonnay Grechetto 2011

Solid Chardonnay that was very enjoyable with dinner tonight. From what I could understand from the label, this is a Chardonnay heavy wine with Grechetto as the secondary grape variety. this one poured a little darker amber color than I was expecting. Nose was apricot, peach, and minerals. Entry of this wine was quite soft. Buttered popcorn with definitely more of a sweet citrus... Pineapple and ripe pear. Gains more acidity towards the middle and finish. Finishes with more of to stone-ground fruits and dried herbs. I think this wine is drinking really well right now. I don't really think this is going to improve any more in the bottle, so drink up! — 11 hours ago

Castello Romitorio

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2007

Great level of maturity here, classic aged Brunello. Nice weight, tannins and acid offer posture, shows the warmth of the vintage in its generosity and open knit appeal. Warm core of muddled plum, dried cherry, tar, wood smoke, worn leather, pipe tobacco, asian spices, amaro, balsamic. Ample, juicy, elegant and fantastic with food. — 11 days ago
