Sexy Cabernet Sauvignon. Muscular but elegant at the same time. Really great wine. We’ll made and kind of perfect. — 8 months ago
I really enjoy a nice Carmenere having been introduced to this varietal on business trips to Chile. Typically a great complement to grilled meats, this somewhat young Carmenere (2020 vintage) did not disappoint! Ripe berries but with just a touch of a oeppery finish is a nice pairing with the flank steak, grilled Serranos, roasted sweet potatoes and chimichurri sauce we had for dinner. Not sure how much variety there is between vintages but the 2020 seems like a good one! — 8 months ago
My first exposure to Don Melchor was rewarding! Rich, dark fruit maturity on the nose was consistent with long lasting dark cherries and red plum on the palette. Soft tannins reminiscent of a well aged Cabernet, the softness of this young cab was surprising and delightful! An absolute treat to taste!! — 2 months ago

Deep, Rich, and elegant. The wine actually feels more viscous than normal, and it’s just heavily perfumed and flavored and thick in your mouth. It absolutely feels like chewing on a handful of fresh blue and red fruit mixed together. Perfume of violet and Queen Anne roses, as it faded over time it actually became a much more elegant and approachable wine. Absolutely delicious. — 4 months ago

This is an interesting blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah from the Maipo Valley, an iconic region of Chile, a bountiful area that gather the perfect conditions for quality wines for terroir-driven wine seekers.
A wine that can be an acquired taste, showcasing a unique character and definitely a high levels of complexity. The wine has a striking deep, intense violet color, quite aromatic profile that pleases the nose with some dark chocolate, dark cherries and blueberries. On the palate, it provides a balanced acidity, chewing tannins with a very long-lingering finish. It pairs amazing with Manchego cheese, Braised short ribs and even lasagna. — a month ago
