Leesy, nutty, and very saliny. Harvested in 2012. 42 months on lees. — 7 years ago
Star bright pale gold. Fine persistent bubbles and quickly dissipating white mousse. Inviting nose of ripe pear and candied brioche. Confirmed on the medium palate which adds light white pepper and baked green apple. Finish is moderate and continues the palate. Form acidity, of course, but not in an aggressive way. Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco yield a Blanc de Blancs sparkler light enough for a starter but with enough weight to support light to medium fare. Drink now — 7 months ago
2013. Late spring afternoon on the patio with your favorite meats and cheese, and this is your wine. Bright fruit, mouth-watering acid, savory aromas and flavors. Balanced. Hides it's 14% abv exceptionally well. Versatile. A dangerously delightful quaffer. Bliss Wine Imports. $20 something. — 8 years ago
