Domaine Brusset

Laurent B. Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2019

This Côtes du Rhône blend is bright, light, youthful, medium-bodied, and red-fruit forward, with good acidity and medium tannins, pairing nicely with an alfredo pasta (vegan style) and spinach salad.

It’s an easygoing and food-friendly sipper.

Alfredo Bertolani

Rosso All'Antica Reggiano Lambrusco Rosso Secco

Had a lot of bad Lambrusco’s lately in the pursuit of something decent. This one has good effervescence, big fruit, with prominent blueberry, pine sap, cooked orange, green pepper and tannin. The palate is pure fruit with light tannin, with some smokeiness around the edges, like brisket or braised short rip, but the finish is dry, with a slight acid zing. One of the better Lambrusco. — 3 months ago

Tenuta Sassoregale

Maremma Toscana Vermentino 2019

Very tasty white. Medium bodied, oaky. Quite robust and would pair well with chicken or Alfredo. Held up on its own as well. Would drink again. — 3 years ago

Azienda Agricola Bucci

Classico Superiore Verdicchio dei Castelli Di Jesi 2019

This is a lovely and under appreciated wine that, for roughly $20, gives an enormous amount of pleasure. It has a silky texture with high acidity and well-balanced flavors of golden apple, lemon, pear, hay, chamomile and enough stony minerality to give a saline impression on the finish. It’s flavors are intense enough it can match up not only with light dishes like sushi or shrimp, but more pronounced flavors of grilled fish or chicken, and especially pastas like cacio e pepe or fettuccine Alfredo. Versatile as well as delicious — 2 years ago
