Bon soir from Paris and and change of pace to burgundy. Since canard was on the menu tonight, a burgundy seemed appropriate. A little tightly wound, this Gevery Chambertin was light and peppery with sour cherries and good acidity. Nice pairing with some excellent duck. — 5 years ago

A treat of a vintage bottling and a bit of a steal at $60. More focused than NV bottlings I’m more accustomed to. Less busy, more naturally balanced letting a bit of complexity shine through. Nothing life changing, but you can spend a lot more on less impressive Champagne. From the bottle shop at Bern’s. — 9 months ago

Yes to a previous comment of strawberries and cream. Clean and just the right kind of dry. Pleasure to drink. — 5 years ago
