C.C. Ranch Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

9.4

1hr+ decant. This start out amazing but faded over time. Lovely dark red color with purple rims. Nose contained refined dark cherries and subtle baking spices. A nice sweetness was well balanced with the very present tannins but this fell out of balanced over time. The depth and finish were both great but also faded. Very nice wine that had so much more potential. — a month ago

Riserva Novecento Chianti Classico Sangiovese 2016

Rock solid C.C. Riserva with all the usual trademarks in place. A bit fancy for pizza maybe but a great end to a May long weekend. Will drink the other bottle soon (as one reviewer noted, this unlikely to last a long stretch). — 2 years ago

FOXY LADY ROSE Syrah 2019

Collaborative rose wine between C.C. & Cosecha Imports; an amazing wine agency specialising in Spanish wines and based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
They call it an "unconventional and funky" wine which I think frames it the wrong way. In fact, it is a serious wine that is miles away from the candy bubblegum rose that is everywhere. It is rich, complex, structured, and refreshing. Killer with fish, summer vegetables and our backyard.

The 2010 is a mouthful of black cherry, dark not too sweet chocolate. Well done. — 9 years ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2011

Very solid C.C. that would work very nicely as a go to on pizza night or with Sunday pranzo. Great acid, earthy, medium finish. Not extravagant but hits all the typical notes of the varietal and then some. Very nice QPR as well ($20.) — 3 years ago
