Vetifan hur jag lyckades men jag råkade glida in på nån vinprovning med spanska viner???
En av tre vita viner som finns på El Bulli-folkets nya restaurang. Kickass! Svårflirtad men unik grapefruktsmak. — 6 years ago
Fizzy orange wine from Emilia-Romagna! So fun. Bone dry. Sour strawberry lemon zest. Bottle cap and beautiful label — 3 years ago
Light and appley — 4 years ago
One of those odd vintages of Yquem. A fabulously restrained expression of botrytis, with an intensely honeyed nose and cutting yet poised acidity. Very long indeed. However, there is a faint, dry, almost tannic bitterness on the very end palate that sours the experience ever so slightly. Like being invited to experience the tasting menu at El Bulli and realising that you have to do the washing up afterwords. — 8 years ago
Rounded notes of grass and apple with a perfect balance of effervescence. — 4 years ago
Very impressed by the Palmas series, a special release of “en rama” sherries from selected casks from the Tío Pepe solera. Traditionally, cellarmasters in Jerez would mark exceptional casks with a chalk drawing of a palm tree branch (palma in Spanish), potentially adding more branches if those wines continued to show finesse and delicacy as they aged. To make the selection, González Byass’ invites different guests (mostly wine critics and somms) every year, an honor that befell Ferran Centelles (El Bulli) in 2020.
The 2020 Una Palma comes from three casks from the Tio Pepe solera with 6 years of aging under flor, bottled unfined and unfiltered (en rama). Sharp nose with notes of almonds, yeast and hints of citrus. Fresh, mineral and very saline. Much more intense aromas and flavors than the regular Tio Pepe — 4 years ago
Lovely wine, woody with spice, but deep cherry on nose and palate. Better days 2 & 3. From el Bulli cellar — 10 years ago
Tom Casagrande
A fun, fresh and low alcohol blend from Emilia-Romagnia, I think (but don’t quote me.) Barbera, Bonarda, Uva Rara; Ortrugo, and Uva Sampagnina. Lots of fun for a cookout! — 6 months ago
