When in Argentina drink…Bequignol? I dare anyone to find an Argentine red that clocks in at 12.6%abv. A southern French varietal finds its way to Mendoza. All about the dark red & black fruit- no tannins here. For a light red it’s quite somber, so not sure it translates as a solo dancer. My closest analogy is Pais in Chile, but minus the energy & acidity. — 2 years ago

Had it with friends. Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, spices and cherries. Very powerful and also elegant, this is great now but has lots of potential, say 5 to 7 years. We liked it a great deal and are looking to buy. — a year ago
