Nero D’Avola is a real miracle worker. Deep plum and chocolate, sweet tannins. Yet there is structure. Also mild acidity and a hint of smokiness. The 2017 is particularly good. — 5 years ago

Recommended by the Costco wine stocker. $11. Not complex but very palatable for a low cost Napa cab. At Bacaro Kitchen & Wine Bar in Houston, their first night of the second reopening during COVID. Great restaurant that does corkage in Houston. — 4 years ago
