Ripe fruit, nice balance, great pizza wine — 2 years ago
Stellar Barolo. Definitely of the new school, lighter color, lightly structured, but radiant fruit in a refined style. Decanted 2hrs. Perfect pairing for veal/osso buco, maybe less so for a roast. Some debate whether more age would refine the fruit further or cause it to dissipate. No idea but have two more so can experiment! Made me want to get on an overnight to Piedmont tonight. — a month ago

Black cherry and tar, classic and elegant. — a month ago
Fresher & more floral vs the ‘17s & ‘18s.
Fresh dark sweet cherries, an uplifting, fresh floral note, just a hint of mossy undergrowth. Pure, light, juicy.
Juicy on the palate as well, mid weight, bright acidity, light & juicy tannins, crunchy red fruit. More balanced and less alc vs prior vintages.
Joyfully drinkable yet with quite some character & nice depth, too.
They really nailed it in 2019! What a delight! Need to stock up!! — 3 years ago

Wine prices in Tokyo tend to be expensive but this was about $200 AUD. Probably sounds dear but when you’re here that’s not too bad. Medium crimson in colour. Just medium bodied - red fruited with cherry, strawberry and earthy silty notes. On the palate went well with a Grade 4 Waygu steak which was very expensive but it was a good match. All very satisfying. From a good vintage in Piedmont. The photo is from the Delectable library but the vintage we had was 2016. — an hour ago
