Dark jammy fruit and spice that is expected from a cab but also super floral and perfume-y. Def drink with food. It can stand up to a bold dish. I ate this with a pasta and bison meatball dish and it brought about a juicy lightly sweet floral experience to my meal. — 8 years ago

I am proud to introduce an Italian Super Tuscan that I have been looking for for years! This is a wonderful example of a cabernet Franc at 30%!!!!! And a cabernet sauvignon blend. If you want an affordable cab / cab franc - one of my favorites, you absolutely have to try this one. Please note, if I give a wine a perfect score it means I would be happy to serve it to anyone at anytime with my 100% confidence that they will love it and want it and love me for it!!!! OMG. This is awesome! Here we go, this is Brancatelli, Valle Delle Stelle, Toscana 2013! It is only 13.5 %! First, decant for 30 minutes!!!! The color is dark but not opaque! The legs are long, thick, slow, and numerous in number. The bouquet is sweet cherry pie baking in the oven with a spicy aroma and a fig tree with rip figs. The initial palate is of coarse blackberry and dark currant with a mid palate explosion of vanilla and spice. The finish is oaky and dry leaving you wanting a splash of water to wet your palate!
