Unique ruby colored wine made from the Aglianico del Vulture grape grown in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy. I found the wine had a pleasant nose but was a little tart when first opened. After being opened for several days the wine leveled out and was very smooth. Paired well with a variety of foods, including beef and chicken. Drank in December 2024. — 10 days ago

On the nose, this is bright cherry and alcohol... On the palate, the cherry is very pronounced... Kirsch... Some earthiness, but the acid here remains jovial. Medium, precise tannin. Medium bodied with the alcohol quite pronounced. Very uplifting. — 2 months ago
