Reserve Shiraz 2013

Dark purple in color with a reddish/ brick rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, earth, wet leaves, tobacco, coffee, peppercorn, pencil lead and eaucaliptus.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, chocolates, smoke, licorice, oak, vanilla, alcohol, black tea, graphite, herbs, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a great Shiraz from Israel. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Nice complexity with a soft and elegant mouthfeel, yet bigger than I expected.

Delightful by itself as a sipping wine by the fireplace.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly, and will get better in the next 5 years.

A blend of 97% Shiraz and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 21 months in French and American Oak barrels.

15% alcohol by volume.

Juddean Hills Red Blend 2017

Very fruity blend from Judean Hills. Perfect pairing to delicious food at Assaf Granit’s menu at Coal Office. Will pair exceptionally well with Middle Eastern flavours. Tasted 2017. — 5 years ago

Pinot Gris 2014

Now, this is the best Pinot Gris I have ever had. Usually, a very plain varietal , but this one is different.

Light yellow in color.

A very aromatic nose of white flowers, lemons, kiwis, minerals, peaches, guava and wet stones.

Medium Plus in body with medium acidity.

Off-dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, oak, cream, tropical fruits, bananas, pineapples and passion fruit.

Short finish with a great mouth feel and some peaches.

What an awesome wine, made from 100% Pinot Gris grapes grown in the Golan Heights in Israel. Nice and balanced. I enjoyed it by itself. Just great to sip on.

14% alcohol by volume.
