Deep ruby red with garnet edges. Dark nose with truffles, cocoa, red cherries, dirty diapers and forest floor. Well rounded tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Well rounded with layers mulberries, forest floors, spices and great acidity. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2024. — 5 years ago

Perrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay 2011

Beautiful slight straw yellow, golden and super brilliant. Amazing full array of aromas, very clean and mineral. Incredible stoney aromas with toasty almonds. Full coverage in your palate. The performance and the expansion of this wine throughout the palate is priceless. The structure and acidity of this wine is so incredibly focus, surrounded by delicious and phenomenal fruit. Delicious citrusy, also showing delicious hawaiian pineapple, green sour apple. Finish is very, very long and sumptuous, showing the tail of a fabulous acidity, but bountiful flavors of fruit. Kiwi, papaya, bits of butterscotch but ever so slightly, more scents of acacia flower and asara perfume. This wine brings tears to my eyes. 97 pts. — 11 years ago

With some air this wine improved a lot :-). I am once again reminded why collaring wine is so rewarding.
