An elegant bouquet of dried violets, blackcurrant, and tobacco, with hints of cedar and earth. The palate is rich yet polished, with some fresh cherry notes still lingering around. The tannins have softened into a velvety texture. Subtle spice and leather emerge on the long, harmonious finish.
Don’t get to drink well aged Super Tuscan often. This is a beautiful expression of Cab Franc led blends at its peak. — 7 months ago

Early ripening Bordeaux Blend of 35% Merlot, 35% Cab Franc, 25% Cab Sauv & 5% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby red color with aromas of rich berry fruits with spice, herb and cigar box notes. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry with cinnamon and cedar. Soft fine tannins, rich mouthfeel well balanced with vivid acidity. Long finish ending with fruit, cedar and tobacco. Always very firm in its youth it’s finally drinking well right now with fruit, nicely developed round tannins and underlined acidity that’s there but doesn’t stand out (wouldn’t peg this as Italian in a blind tasting and probably not old world). — 7 years ago
