We waited 52 years to open this battle. We had a special event and this bottle was open. It was kept under ideal conditions and the proper temperature for all these long years and it was worth it. It turned a good wine (Golden Medal winner 1974) into a magnificent one. Glad we were patient. The results are incredible. — 4 days ago

Had with Chinese New Year celebration dessert, so limited notes. Dark golden color. Beautiful nose of burnt Caramel, fruit cake, nuts. Drinking fresh and young. Lovely with much life ahead. — 4 years ago

Interesting Portuguese wine, grown right by Colares but not in the DOC. Powerful wine, with dark red and black fruits, tobacco, tar, and great spice. High ABV, notable international the nose but less so on the palate. Available in NYC for a good bit less than $20 per bottle: not bad! — 6 years ago
