I’ve loved the wines from Alpha Estate for years but this was the first time trying the SMX blend. It did not disappoint. Full-bodied and dark, it produced flavors of blackberry, plum, chocolate, vanilla, and earth. Definitely needed some air before opening up fully, but it could have spent another couple of years in the bottle. 60% Syrah, 20% Merlot, 20% Xinomavro. 4/29/25. — 10 months ago

A Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend of all 5 Bordeaux varieties, aged for 10 months in 25% new French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and cigar box spice.
