This wine brought us back to sitting in the lounge of the Schloss in Lieser Germany, along the Mosel, where we first tasted this it. Just like then, we couldn’t put our glass down. Medium lemon yellow . Touch smoky and honied on the nose , lemon tart , baked apple , ripe pear , and a steely element . Quite rich on the palate but with vibrant acidity and good backbone . Quite intense and with good length , well balanced alcohol . Lemon , pear , baked apple , honeysuckle with a creamy texture but saline , chalky finish . I would imagine that this can age quite well , another 5-10 years perhaps . — 4 months ago
