Sur Gallipoli Penninsula Single Vineyard Bozokbag Red Blend 2010

We really enjoyed this one. Eleven years after the vintage, and we paired it with our Easter dinner which was really a varied feast of steaks, ham, veggies, and roast potatoes. Red and dark fruit here with a flintiness present. Nice depth here. A beautiful pairing with our marbled steak. Great memories trying these wines for the first time at the Vancouver International Wine Festival a few years back. — 2 months ago

Kabatepe Red Blend 2013

A modest blackberry base with wispy but sustained tannins. Some earthy spices too. Really, this is the first wine I've had from Turkey, and if this is representative of the quality, I'd seek it out. This wine would pair well with a great many simple, earthy foods. I feel I could drink this for quite a while with an order of hummus and pita. — 5 years ago
