Fantastic wine!! Sauv Blanc from Northwest Burgundy. Citrus and acid is very cool, more expressive fruit and acid the second day. — a year ago
Domaine Gérard Persenot - Saint Bris 2019
The nose is half chalk half lemon. I love it and it's really a terroir thing. The palate is a Sauvignon they had been dripped in coton and chalk (if there's a way to taste chalk). There's some width, there's lemon all along, and there's a finish that's rather long with the same notes hanging up there for quite a while. You gotta love that — 2 years ago
Enjoying this “Sauvignon Chablis” a lot. Very fragrant nose has beautifully ripe gooseberry fruit, meadow wildflowers, and some of the brothy wet limestone earthiness I love from this region. Just enough green herbal grassiness to let you know it ain’t Chardonnay. Nice balance of mineral, green herb, and fruit on the palate. Acids a bit low. But hey, global warming and 2020 and all that. Nice deck-sipper before dinner. — 4 months ago

Nice notes of melon and vanilla with balanced acidity and a mineral touch — 2 years ago
Dinner with friends, prior notes still apply.
A Burgundy bin end theme for my bottles tonight, all are the last stock of the wines that have given us great pleasure in the prior 12-18mo. They will be missed, but not forgotten, new vintages will come eventually. 🤩 — 4 years ago

Burgundies Sauvignon Blanc, pale gold, aromas of citrus, grapefruit, peach, and something floral. Medium body, medium + finish, light malo, rather fresh and nervous acidity. — 4 months ago
