This was showing really nicely considering the age and the fact that it was $7 a bottle in Kearney, Nebraska.
Some fruit remains with oak and a touch of spice leading the charge. Get at this now if you haven’t already. — 3 years ago
Love it. Not too sweet and drinkable by itself. — 4 years ago
Thick BOldy black spice character with juicy black fig, Full body, med plus acidity, boldy med tannin, structure and mineral finish on the end. Easy Juicy boldy Shiraz that can pair with juicy creamy meat or creamed spinach. — 5 years ago
Mid Lemon in colour. Vanilla oak aromas - peachy and rich. On the palate yellow peach and cream with Medium plus intensity. This style was popular in Australia in the 80’s and 90’s - think Rosemount Roxburgh and coined the style as “Dolly Parton” for obvious reasons. For lovers of full bodied Chardonnay. I hadn’t had a Chardonnay like this for a while and it was enjoyable. Ripe fruit, a touch too much oak and a great viscous texture on the palate. One of the 1001 Wines. — 2 years ago
7 years old. Buttery and flavoursome. Just how we like them. — 4 years ago
Old favorite- thick, almost syrupy, red fruit jammy, but clean finish — 4 years ago
Smooth and rich red wine! — 4 years ago
An excellent modern rendition of Margaret River Chardonnay. Oak is there but not overpowering blending nicely with the stone fruit. Robert And Sandy Oatley became billionaires when they sold Rosemount to Southcorp (Penfolds and Lindemans) and since then Rosemount hardly exists 😟😟. Anyway this is their new venture on a much smaller scale. Bob Oatley died in 2016 aged 87. Apart from Wine the Oatleys have a huge legacy with ocean yacht racing with “Wild Oats” winning 8 Sydney to Hobart line honours. — 4 years ago
