Time for a good Cabernet on this #FridayCabernetfix.
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing much.
Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, black cherries, peppercorn, cedar, licorice, cola, vanilla, mint, spices, coffee, tobacco, peppercorn, earth and light vegetables.
Full bodied, soft and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, light vinaigrette, diet coke, graphite and peppercorn.
Long finish with tangy cherries and fine grained tannins.
This is a delicious Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from the great 2012 vintage. Nicely balanced with lots of cedar notes. This 8 year old is showing very nicely, now with nice complexity and a great mouth feel.
A nice wine to have all by itself, but good with food too. I really enjoyed the nose on this one. Just wonderful.
Needs an hour to open up, but definitely good right out of the bottle.
Would be nice to try this again in 5 years, as it has the potential to be even better.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Delicious.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

This is a nice surprise. This is a very enjoyable Tempranillo from Sonoma.
Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. Showing mild complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Still young and showing lots of Oak notes, which I actually liked.
Reminds me of a Napa Bordeaux blend.
Fruit forward, spicy, tangy and interesting. Very tasty.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

This is the American dream come true for the Robledo family. Farm immigrant workers that now own their own vineyard and make their wine. Great Zin. Fruity and burst in mouth with flavors of berries and spice. Great with ribeye. — 4 years ago
Not too sweet. Not usually a fan of Riesling but loved this. — 5 years ago
