Lavières Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Really a lovely red burgundy with a very nice bit of age. Quite lively at this point - frankly a bit surprisingly so. Ethereal with nice red fruit, some earthy complexity. Very good with a seafood focused meal and a good recommendation by the sommelier at Le Pavillon. — 19 days ago

This was from one of the barrels purchased by a small group of us from Robert Parkers wine board at the HDB auction. Bouchard was hired to make the wine. — 3 years ago

Excellent white Burgundy from Cote-D’Or France. Not bitter or too sweet. It’s a light perfect white wine. Robert Morris brought it for me from France. — 3 years ago

Lovely golden color. Soft corn with lemon oil and some silky sherry notes. Lush and balanced. Very good. — 19 days ago

Robert Parker was also at the restaurant. He was drinking better wine than I was, but this was still good. — 3 years ago

Volnay-Santenots 1er Cru Pinot Noir 1993

Wet autumn leaves, earth, mushroom, very much secondary/tertiary aromas. Seamless tannins, medium finish. Almost Rhone like. — 4 years ago

Free tasting with Meaursult 2/28/20. Beautiful amber color of mature Burg. What a nice nose of forest floor mushrooms and dried flowers. Slowly evolving for minutes before even tasting. Firm acidic lively balanced texture with a bit of bite going into long waxing and waning finish. Very fresh tasting. and — 2 years ago

Savigny-lès-Beaune Pinot Noir 1999

Just released a few months ago, and still so youthful after 20 yrs. Forest floor, mushrooms, cherry, and subtle cigar box flavors. Shows what a beautifully aged burgundy can be. — 3 years ago

La Forêt Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Popped and poured. Glorious Chablis. Fresh, vibrant with accents of ripeness, sea mist, apples, chalk, flint, rocks, citrus. I dare you to find a bottle of white wine for $24 that is as good as this, let alone a Chablis. I feel like Robert Conrad from the Eveready commercials in the 70's with a bottle of Vocoret on my shoulder. Go ahead, knock it off. I dare you! 92pts. — 3 years ago

Cuvée Robert Fleury Brut Champagne 2004

Wow- this bottle is a lot fresher than the one we drank a year ago. The Robert Fleury is a barrel fermented blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Blanc and 20% Chardonnay. Earthy dark fruit, Krug like barrel influence and savor are balanced by 2004 snap. With foie gras, pour le dimanche! — 5 years ago
