This wine was very easy to drink, had lots of pear notes, sweet ending. Would recommend and drink again. — 3 months ago
Mycket vänlig och lättdrucken fruktjuice med hint av mörka bär. Liquid candy! Småpartierna — a month ago
OK, I cant be the only one to have their Furmint.
Delicious and lip-smacking similar to the gelatin rich chicken dumpling soup I paired this with.
I realized that this is what most regular folks enjoy about Chardonnay, aromatically mild, texturally rich and gulpable. It seems to hit an almosy umami type palate vibe. — 3 months ago
The Furminth grapes used for this crisp and elegant Hungarian wine comes from the Varadi wineyard on a (inactive) volcano hillside and are fermented with natural yeast in local oak barrels; greenish notes in light yellow color; crisp citrus and lime on the nose along with peaches and red grape fruit; high acids and low alcohol (12%) yield a summer-like fresh crispness with a hint of anise, potpourri, and herbs. Other than an apparent lack of depth and complexity, this was an overall positive experience. — 2 days ago
I happen to think that Kadarka, a Hungarian grape that few have heard of, is one of the most interesting wine grapes around. Similar to Trousseau or Poulssard in weight and finesse, it’s totally delicious. This one is made from gnarled, 100-year-old vines (hence the name) whose delicate fruit is fermented and aged in steel. Aromas of dried flowers and red currant give way to dried herbs, strawberry and cherry flavors with notes of dried fennel seed in the finish. Juicy and bright and a mere 13% alcohol. — 2 months ago
