Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

My first experience with a Washington State wine was with a 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Northstar Winery🍷

This is a dark ruby colored wine. It delivers aromas of blackberries, blackcurrant, some leather, and mint.

It is a medium to full bodied wine. 14.5% ABV. Rich on the palate with chewy tannins. A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot.

Nice first experience! Cheers!

Absolutely stunning. Best wine I’ve ever tried from Northstar. Has many years ahead of it. — 4 months ago

This was surprisingly still pretty nice. Don’t think I would hold this one much longer though. — 8 months ago

Walla Walla Valley Merlot 2014

A big, structured Merlot with grippy tannins. Black cherries, cassis, plums, pencil lead, mocha, spice and tobacco.

If blinding, I might’ve thought it was cab except for the lack of a lot of pyrazine.
