Nice spice and acid. Not overblown port like zin. Love the restraint on the Biale zins. Good expression of the different vineyards. Not my fave one from them.
Murrieta's well Tempranillo is so full of fruit but very young. Robbie Meyer's first and only red released. My favorite so far.

Smelled like a blueberry filled swimming pool complete with chlorine initially, but after an hour of splashing around, notes of mint, black currant, licorice and cedar emerged. Black currant continued through the palate, with a blueberry-grape bubblegum dip-n-stix flavor amidst a toasty oak and tobacco with cinnamon. Basically a hearty but smooth, round-tannin romp in the concrete pond! Put on your purple polka dot monokini, because this sultry little vixen is right out of a Russ Meyer's flick, and she can still beat you to death with her ample fruits! You know you want it! — 11 years ago

Had to say goodbye to the weekend wine job at Murrieta's Well due to a demanding thing called med school. It's been such a fun year leading vineyard tours and tasting through Robbie Meyer's first wines at the estate. I've been throwing these wines into our blind flights we do at home and they always impress against big time Napa wines. Especially this cab franc. At 60'bucks, it's a great wine. The cabernet has still not been released (hopefully august), but the cab franc and merlot are the stars of the estate. — 7 years ago
