Each wine in the series is named for a horse born to Maggy Hawk: Jolie, Afleet, Stormin’ and Unforgettable, and to her sire, Hawkster. Medium Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits with notes of dried herbs, citrus and woody spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cranberry and cherry with espresso, vanilla and herb tea spice, well balanced with acidity. Fine soft tannins on a long finish ending with cacao, spices and slight earthy character. Very nice! — 4 months ago

Well totally closed on opening. Put cork back in and let sit 3 days and it is way better. Huge wine but so freaking good. Blueberry pie, green peppercorns, blackberries, plums, tomato, fresh herbs, flowery perfume, mixed berry jam. It has so much texture. Just keep smelling and tasting new stuff. The prices have increased so not quite as much value, but if you’re into huge CA Rhône’s that have just enough balance, this is a fantastic wine. — 25 days ago
