Sticks and Stones Paso Robles Grenache Blend 2020

Beguiling, beautiful. Strawberries with a vivid strawberry color. Incredibly floral of roses. So much so that it carries over to the palate in a way I’ve never experienced. Not rose water, but as if I had a rose petal on my tongue. The finish lasts forever, even as a perfume in the nose. — 2 days ago

@Peter C it showed some nice development, though no fireworks. But it seemed like it could go another 10 years easy. Didn’t try it when younger so don’t have a great point of comparison.

Thanks. That’s interesting. Always thought early drinkers.

@Peter C i think it will drink well for some time but not improve… so don’t exactly disagree with the early drinker assessment

Disciples Old Vine Zinfandel Petite Sirah

Heavy fruit, but in a nice way. I typically don’t like Zinn’s (except Linne Calados blends), but this is very enjoyable. Nice wine — 2 years ago

"Self Steem" Willow Creek District Grenache Blanc Blend 2016

Palmer Emmitt
9.1

A well-crafted white Rhône blend - the high percentage of Picpoul (40%) works really nicely with the Grenache Blanc, keeping it taut and fresh while enhancing the melon-y flavors. The 2% of Viognier, while not announcing itself in any obvious way, certainly serves its purpose in brightening up the nose. There’s a hint of funk - which I like - mixed with mineral vibrancy to keep you on your toes. An awesome partner with my fish tacos and mango-cilantro slaw. — 2 years ago

Vibrant. Lots of blue fruit. Not jammy. Not overwhelming though the alc would suggest otherwise. — 4 months ago

'In My Dreams' Paso Robles Red Blend 2017

Haven’t had a LC in a while - this one came through with ripe berries and a lot of earth tones and a nice long finish. Very enjoyable for a 2017 pop and pour! — 2 years ago
