4% Graciano? Now there is a grape that I’m not familiar with. Anyway, nice wine. — 9 days ago

Problem Child Zinfandel Blend 2016

Not sure anyone does zin-driven blends better than Matt Trevisan at Linne Calodo. Not something worth laying down for a ling time: enjoy the intensity of the fruit while it’s young! — 2 months ago

Stereotype Paso Robles Red Blend

March madness baby! Strong floater game this one with the teardrop. Alabama red fruit swish. Effervescent and one. BBQ wine. “Eagles May soar, but weasels don’t get sucked into jet engines” per the label. — 6 months ago

Cherry Red Zinfandel Blend 2013

I love this juice. It tastes like a cherry blossom, and the irony is it has nothing to do with he name. It’s rich and succulent and explodes with cherry flavor. — 22 days ago

Rising Tides Paso Robles Syrah Blend 2015

From Matt at Linne Calodo - who makes some of the most interesting and unusual blends coming out of Paso - the 2015 version of one of his earliest cuvees is 54% grenache, 30% mourvedre, 14% syrah, and 2% tannat. Terrific wine with loads of fruit, great aromatics on the nose, and super soft, well-integrated tannins. This is another one that performs better at temps as close to cellar as possible, as it gets a bit flabby if it warms up too much. Really enjoyable wine. — 6 months ago
