2009 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 1.5-2 hours. Defying the conventional boundaries of space and time. Acidity/tannins and fruit as if a 2017 or newer vintage. Medium-bodied (another trippy aspect). Super-youthful yet balanced with great intensity. Time capsule this bleep since it needs another 10-spot to develop some semblance of wrinkles. The usual deal with the devil cuz it hasn't aged a single day. A juicy UFO. Thank you Dermott! 3.5.23. — 3 months ago
Easy enjoyment factor with this champagne. When we visited Morlet in Napa last year, they like to pour their vintage offering of Pierre Morlet as a welcome upon arrival. I enjoy their family label, but wish it was more readily available.
Grand cru fruit. 76/24 Pinot/chard and it shows. This is rich, yeasty and powerful. Borders on creamy with the mousse. Limestone grit, lemon and white chocolate scone, with hints of nougat. This NV offering is very enjoyable for the price, and reminds me of a less layered/complex Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve (which is a favorite of mine). — 6 months ago
Nose still has some oak. But it’s tasty sweet oak. So rich. Some yellow fruits as it opens. Some mirabelle plums. Getting great.
Palate is sweet wood. Deliciously rich. Yellow fruits. As it opens tart. Green apples. Lemon pith.

2009 vintage. This producer coming through again. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins, 2 hours and 3 hours. Exceptionally dark color for 14 year old Burgundy. Not a fruit bomb but tons more fruit than expected. Exquisite acidity/balanced tannins. The fruit wavered only slightly by the end with the acidity/tannins the beneficiary. Drinking more like a newer vintage such as 2014-2018. This one built to last. The 2009 vintage is going to be in “drink or hold” status for a long long time. 3.12.23. — 3 months ago

Nothing crazy complex, yeasty, or acid driven - but still a very nice champagne. Pinot noir dominated. Somewhat richer and deeper bodied which makes it a nice pairing for Asian-flavored dishes at the very good Matbaren in Stockholm. — 5 days ago
