Still a plush, dark fruited beaut! — 5 years ago
Can’t believe the 2015s almost have 8yrs on them! The 2013 I had in 2021 (with 8yrs) showed a more dense, dark and powerful profile compared to this, but both were incredibly enjoyable. Removed the cork and then consumed from bottle an hour later.
The profile here showed a touch more red fruit than than the 2013. Deep red, small tinge of purple in the glass. Not sure if some Merlot made its presence known here, but there was an elegant vibe. Pretty aromatics of mixed berries, potpurri, espresso. Definitely a savory/mineral streak (graphite) showing up on the palate. Lush and balanced and in no way flabby or overly tannic. More dark fruit (cassis, roasted blackberries) appeared toward the finish. Fantastic Sonoma Cabernet. — 5 months ago
Deep purple, opaque in the center; thick wine with heavy heavy legs, good amount of sediment that stained my hands purple when I removed the cork. The aroma on the nose is intoxicating - it pulls you in with deep berry and cherry notes, then dried fruit and baking spices giving it a fruit cake like quality; further still are subtle notes of bell pepper cedar and tobacco. On the palette is reminds me tomatoes and cherries roasted over cedar with cinnamon. — 4 years ago
2012 Sine Qua Non Touché Estate Syrah. Pairing well with Gail’s Tie dye designs (tiedyebygail.com). Amazing Syrah for the actual birthday meal at Ca Bianca in Santa Rosa. We really needed this vacation after working the Pacific Dream Machines show with her tie dye vendor booth. Best winery visits were Kamen, b-wise, and Mumm. After two nights of Granache, gobsmacked by this Syrah. — 5 months ago

Very similar to a Pinot, fruity, and no earthy taste — 4 months ago
