Maybe our favorite wine so far? Rick and tangy, loved drinking while making baked harissa kale eggs. (Lady’s shakahukah). Todd picked. Five stars — 4 months ago
Second wine in the last few weeks and this is a great reintroduction. Intense, alkaline/stone, crushed Bosc pear, hints of sun-warmed, fuzzy peach and apricot, toasted almond. Palate is surprisingly low acid with a weighty, viscous feel. The aftertaste js distinctly stony, like a European mineral water.
Yesterday I thought this would be good with a scallop and kumquat ceviche. Today I paired it with pan roasted chicken tenderloins, pan gravy, heirloom corn-bread, creamed kale and a mustardy beet salad. This was a good foil to the mixed/richness on the plate. — 5 months ago
Kinda struggled with the cork, which was actually in great shape so probably my fault. Decanted for about 75 minutes. Drank with Grey Barn Osso Buco and kale blossoms with cannellini beans. Dominated by licorice of all colors. Menthol or herb tea with some muddied and candied dark berries. Little bit of old leather suitcase. Long finishhhh with all the above smashed together. — 2 months ago
Lots of plum. With a fair amount of leather on the nose. Tasty with steak and kale. — 5 months ago

Since the temps are going to be around 70 this weekend, thought a rose tasting might be in order. Did a blind tasting of the Modus Operandi 2021 , Myriad 2020, and the Kale 2018. Myriad and Modus were the clear leaders. I rated them as follows #1 Modus, #2 Myriad and #3 Kale. Wife rated them #1 Myriad, #2 Modus, and #3 Kale. I wonder if the older vintage of Kale by a few years flattened it out a bit. To me, the Modus had more fruit on the nose, while the Myriad had a more lengthy finish. Good stuff! — 4 months ago
