Earth, honey , hay. Benefitting from the age - no water. Full strength. Rich and long finish. Delightful. Minerals. Still acid to back it up. — 4 years ago
high acid, so tart, so fun. good bubbles. bruised apple, rubber tire, lime — 6 years ago
Almonds, citrus and spice. Good length. Very pleasant. Furmint — 7 years ago
dry and rich with a creamy feel and definite oak notes. It almost feels like Chardonnay but without the fruit. Very smooth, the end has an almost almond taste. — 7 years ago
I wouldn’t mind bathing in this. Such a great winery situated on the side of an extinct volcano and doing great biodynamic work with traditional varieties. This one has Hárslevelü and Juhfark. The former is expressive of tree blossoms and fine tropical fruits. The latter is much more bold and funky, a cool grape which in Hungarian translates to “sheep’s tail” and refers to the elongated and curved shape of its grape clusters. It is considered to be one of the noblest Hungarian white wines, and is also known as “the throne successor’s wine.

A salty acid bomb. Some herbal undertones and lime notes rising above it all. The acids settle down after about 30 min, but still very prominent throughout the bottle. — 6 years ago
Cloudy yellow-orange. Light fizz, apple and just a bit of funk. Extremely pleasant. — 7 years ago
By far one of the nicest white wines I have had the luxury to taste. As Lou said, it's even better on day two. — 9 years ago
Smoky minérality; savory animal fat and herbs on the nose // at Ruffian Wine bar — 9 years ago
Clean and straightforward Juhfark, with good minerality and a stark finish. A nice neutral wine for when the food rather than the wine needs to stand out. Good with Wiener Schnitzel. — 3 years ago
Golden yellow hue
On nose spicy oak is evident, but not overpowering
Lemon, goose berry, wet stone like minerality. On palate oak gives peppery and creamy feeling. Again lemon, lime, white currant. Medium acidity, mid weight and clearly has stuffing for atleast few years of aging. When wine warms up the oak takes bit too large role. Best served around 10 degC when it's wonderfully fresh. Goes down dangerously easy and worked great with grilled jumbo shrimps — 6 years ago

Old native variety from Badacsony, along the slopes of Lake Balaton in Western Hungary. Reminiscent of Somloi Juhfark - waxy, full, smoky, flinty. Some freshness despite the full bodied and savory character. Volcanic, like Somló. — 9 years ago
