Still just a baby. Sooo Chablis. — 5 years ago
Named after the ancestor that originally bought the parcel, the 2021 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru Hommage à Louis has an intense bouquet with praline and white chocolate touches infusing the vibrant citrus fruit. The palate is very well-balanced, with a powerful opening. It's spicy like the Les Preuses, though many without quite the same ambition on the finish. But this is still very impressive. Nez Chablisien, coquilages, touche de réduction dans le style de la maison, en bouche du fruit jaune aussi, un peu de rondeur, superbe équilibre, un vrai délice. 91-92
Typical nose, very Chablis and “Droin like”, gorgeous balanced palate with yellow orchard fruit, more roundness than usual, simply delicious. — 8 months ago
Lime och lite tropisk frukt. Mycket fin mineralitet, något oljig, lång fin avslutning. Väldigt bra — 3 years ago
Muted on the nose. Rich & unctuous on the palate though. Stony minerality, ripe/overripe yellow apple, dried yellow/white apricot, meat/jerky. Med+/elevated fruit wrapped acidity. — 3 months ago
