Grown from their estate Winsome Vineyard in the Southern Valley, Huia crafts a beautiful Pinot Gris of texture. Resinous and waxen with the flavor of dried honeycomb but without the sweetness, it tastes of rosewater and white peaches. It is Friday night, let the weekend begin. I have opened the 2019 Huia Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. A Biodynamic, organically grown grapes from Clair & Mike Allan.
This nose is full of citrus notes, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, melon, white flowers, herbs and minerality.
On the palate there is plenty of lime, grapefruit, guava, white peach, melon, nectarine and good minerality.

Such a pretty little bottle with soft salmon colored juice inside. This rocked with a rich lobster and some roasted curry cauliflower - no kidding. Stawberry and lime. Plenty of bubbles.
It’s soft and subtle, but powers through and can toe-to-toe some of the bolder flavors we were enjoying.
