Niagara Peninsula VQA Pinot Noir 2020

Never in my dreams would I think of really enjoying Ontario red wine, and secondly, enjoying an Ontario Pinot Noir. This was delicious. Perfect for a late summer evening dinner. Notes of red/dark cherries, raspberries, blueberries, followed by cloves, mild leather, and mild peppery tobacco, with refreshingly well balanced tannin. A complex, beautifully expressed Pinot, that surprisingly can hold up with a steak. Also a great $$ value. — 2 months ago

Premiére Vendange Touraine Gamay 2019

Opened this yesterday and had a glass but forgot to post. A nice dry Gamay. Has a bit of nutty undertones. Didn’t chill this fella but probably should have. Slight herbal finish. — 5 months ago

Spicy to the nose. Nice blend with a bouquet opening up to cherries and licorice notes. Smooth and velvety texture! — 7 months ago

Ontario Baco Noir 2020

This may be something of a guilty pleasure for me, as it seems that I am going decidedly against the grain by loving this one so much. I don't care though; this wine is just so soft and silky with a bounty of dark fruit, spice, and a bit of smoke. Just terrific. 100% Baco Noir. 6/5/22. — 6 months ago

Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Golden lemon with aromas of rich stone and citrus fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and sweet citrus with vivid acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, floral and mineral character. — 7 months ago
