Buttery and citrusy with lots of minerality. Lemon, honeysuckle, ginger, honey, mango, nectarine, and a hint of pineapple. Very full bodied. — 3 hours ago

Loved their Pinot Noir and Zinfandel years ago - need to reacquaint myself with the line 😀

@Douglas Braun Yes, back in the days we drank more CA stuff, we used to frequent the HC lineup, the single vineyard bottles are still a great value. This was a bottle from my Father-In-Law.

Severn, I go back and forth about Hartford Court . Sometimes it’s great and sometimes not so much. Hugh

Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay 2012

A nice aged Chardonnay from Rudius, not sure I had this one before,
I like the Hartford & Ferren but sometimes you need something smooth without all The acidity .

I wouldn’t actually call Wood Rd cool climate. Avg Summer temps in the 90s.

@Brian Tuite that’s warmer than i thought. Definitely a big wine with high alcohol. but it’s very dense fruit that’s unique compared to the turley/biales/limericks ive been drinking. Great vineyard for sure

Carneros District Chardonnay 2018

Ron R

At less than $30, this is a definite buy.
It’s not extravagant, but similar in style and presence to the Hartford. Soft, round, full and dense with moderate sweetness, and light acidity. Not for the long haul, but an excellent value. Tamarind, NYC.

Pechstein GG Riesling 2014

Intensely mineral nose, like Hercules wrung our the rocks. Deep citrus pith and green apple fruit too. So intense and mineral in the mouth. Salty. Very little fruit, but still a friendly style. Gorgeous! Nice treat to have my bro open this after a hellish 9 hour trip from DC to West Hartford . — 4 years ago
