When Abele Bolla opened up Al Gambero Inn in the northern Italian town of Soave over 100 years ago, no one could have guessed that the favorite pastime of winemaking would continue for four generations. Deep Ruby with aromas of jammy berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate cherry and dried plum with bold spice, floral, cacao and cedar. Bosan Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend 2016

Deep Ruby with aromas of wild berry fruits and smoky herb spice, made from mostly Corvina grapes. On the palate flavors of ripe black cherry, blackberry, dried herbs and nutty notes. Tried ‘11 & ‘12 together. A blend of 40% Corvinone, 30% Corvina, 15% Rondinella, remained indigenous grapes derived from 18-acre vineyard, grapes dried for several months using appassimento method. Ruby with with aromas of dried fruits with pepper and smoky spice notes. On the palate ripe blackberry and cherry flavors, savory, with citrus, tobacco & cacao. Soft ripe tannins, chewy on long finish ending with a juicy fruit and oak spice character. Both great! — 12 days ago
